Roster sketch

Sketch your roster

Tick the jobs you'd hand over. The sketch shows the fewest Bots that cover them, and what the roster adds in runs and replies.

All eight jobs need four Bots, with eight scheduled runs a week between them. Each Bot below covers two jobs.

Inbox

  • Sort my inbox every weekday morning A routine: 5 runs a week
  • Draft replies to client email when I ask On request

One Bot, because both jobs work in the same mailbox under the same rule: nothing is sent without your OK.

Competitor Watch

  • Check three competitors' pricing pages every Monday A routine: 1 run a week
  • Write a one-page brief on a competitor when I ask On request

One Bot, because both jobs read the same companies' public pages, and what the Bot learns on one helps with the other.

Expenses

  • File expense receipts as I send them On request
  • Send me a spending summary every Friday A routine: 1 run a week

One Bot, because the Friday summary is built from the receipts the same Bot filed.

Recruiting

  • Find candidates for an open role when I ask On request
  • Send me a hiring summary every Monday A routine: 1 run a week

One Bot, because both jobs follow the same open roles and the same candidates.

How will you reach these Bots?

Message each Bot yourself. You send a request to the Bot that owns the job, and that Bot replies. Each request gets one reply, however many Bots you have.

Through your Main Bot. A request the Main Bot passes on takes three replies or more: it messages the Bot that owns the job, that Bot does the work and messages back, and the Main Bot reports to you.

In one group chat. Each Bot in the group can reply to a message you send there, so one message can draw a reply from every Bot in it. Type @ and a Bot's name, and the request goes to that Bot alone. A group chat holds two to six Bots.

Every scheduled run and every Bot reply counts toward your weekly usage, including each reply in a group chat and each message between Bots. The sketch counts them and stops there, because what one run or one reply uses depends on the work in it.
